In a more sober and less politically charged environment, the death of George Floyd on May 25th could well have led to an examination of potential issues within the Minneapolis Police Department.  Unfortunately, much more attention seems to have been paid to law enforcement agencies nationwide.  What has largely been lost in the national conversation is an opportunity to undertake a fair and unbiased examination of potential issues specific to the Minneapolis Police Department.
