Most law enforcement leaders believe maintaining unit morale is important for a well-functioning organization, and reducing turnover. Therefore, it is important to know what factors influence law enforcement officer job satisfaction. In this webinar, we will review the existing social scientific research on officer job satisfaction. First, we will examine if job satisfaction really does increase organizational performance and reduce turnover. Next, we will examine what factors predict job satisfaction among law enforcement officers. Finally, evidence-based methods for increasing job satisfaction will be discussed.
