On March 15, 2019, a gunman attacked two Islamic mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand. These attacks resulted in the deaths of 51 men, women, and children, and the wounding of another 49 individuals. In order to better understand how these types of events take place, this webinar will examine the assailant’s background, motive, method of operation, and detail the steps of the assailant. The incident aftermath and response will also be discussed. This course is designed to better inform first-responders, SWAT personnel, security teams at places of worship, and disaster management leaders about how such events take place.
