In 2015 the Indianapolis Metro PD (IMPD) Peer Support and Mentoring program was recognized as a national peer training model for public safety. Agencies starting peer programs or looking to enhance peer support teams would benefit from this training.

Advanced Peer Support and Mentoring is a natural complement to the ICISF Jeff Mitchell Model CISM and CISD training as it focuses on recognizing red flags before crisis occurs and by developing the individual who will be providing peer support. The training also identifies a methodology for developing agency and officer resources to combat personal and career crisis.
