In this webinar, Attorney Matt Dolan will discuss some of the critical lessons learned by agencies across the country over the past year when it comes to what is and is not working in police recruiting. The discussion will place a particular emphasis on:
- Re-evaluating hiring criteria—distinguishing between “red tape” from essential job requirements
- Recognizing that money—in the form of salary, benefits and hiring bonuses—is not the magic bullet
- Creating talent pipelines long before potential applicants reach the age of 21
- Avoiding the vicious cycle of hiring “bad apples” and driving away quality applicants
